Last night there finally was an Haggard gig in NL. Which was about freakin’ time.
And I have to say, the way to get there, and go home again was, thanks to the NS (a bit like this (Dutch)).
The sound was good, Remember Twilight was also nice, however no offence to them, I did come to see Haggard…

I was able to create a few pictures, however the quality sucks, as they were made by a Sony Ericsson T630, which is a plain *fuck it, it won’t work the way I want it* phone… It was a bit too problematic to take a 6 mpix digicam to HRO.
To explain, here was my travel plan:

1. Wake up at 5:45
2. Public transportation (sucks)
3. Go to school from 8:30 ~ 14:something (Rotterdam)
4. Go to Bergen op Zoom to meet up with Nicodemus and ‘whatever his nick is’ Sander
5. Make something that could serve as dinner
6. Take train to Schiphol (which also takes you passed Rotterdam)
   
7. Take train from Schiphol to Zaandam
8. Walk to the gig
9. Go from Zaandam to Amsterdam CS with a nightliner (they fuckin make you pay extra for that )
10. Take a night train from Amsterdam CS to Rotterdam CS
    
11. Find some way to wait for about 2:30 hours (no trains)
12. Take train to Bergen op Zoom
13. Wait a few hours again
14. Call father in Sint Philipsland to come and get me, as there’s no public transport in the weekends in Sint Philipsland

Total time underway: ~7 hours within 24 hours

Oh crap, I said something about the gig itself .
First of all Remeber Twilight
Sounded nice, however I don’t know them as good, and I wasn’t really used to the audio yet, but I have to say, the demo song freely downloadable on their site, which I knew already sounded quite good.

Haggard
The beginning was a bit ‘trouble’ as the entire sound installation had to be reconfigured, but after a few noises which could also be used as sonic weapons, they began. That sounded good .
I really liked the ‘zugabe’ In a Pale Moon’s Shadow, Herr Mannelig and ofcourse Awaking the Centuries. The one thing I disliked a bit was the other song from the latest CD, which I think sounds better when it ain’t live. However, to compensate that, The Final Victory ruled (ok, what was it, forth try before the audience sounded hard enough ?).
After the last ‘zugabe’ Asis announced there is going to be a new cd comming year (if I remember correctly), which I’m still looking forward to.
